Classes with The Stitch Witch

The Stitch Witch is Lynette Harris' creative identity and the guise behind which she can let her imagination run wild! Lynette had this to say about quilting: "I truly believe that patchwork and quilting should be a stimulating, enjoyable and stress-busting occupation. Whether you make a Christmas card or a double bedspread, the most important aspect is that you enjoy every minute of it." Lynette recently retired from trading at Shows. She and her husband decided that after 12 years of going around the UK, Ireland, Holland and France, they want to spend more time with their family and friends. The good news is that there are plenty of videos of The Stitch Witch on justhands-on.tv .

Signature Technique:

Sashiko Quilting, Celtic Design, Stained Glass and Shadow Quilting

Lynette’s Top Tips:

- Using printed panels is a great way to get into patchwork.
- Master a basic technique on a small scale and then you can do it on any scale
- To transfer a design onto dark fabric, stick the design on a window, stick the fabric over it and when the sun shines, transfer the design.
- Always test your pen / chalk on your fabric before you use it to make sure it will come off when you finish
